MEET DR. VANESSA CHAFOS

Dr. Chafos is the founder of the Center for Counseling and Mindful Living, LLC and is currently practicing as a Psychologist in NJ.

She is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).

Sport Counseling can help an athlete or performer reach their optimal goals and potential by exploring barriers and refining mental skills.

There are many roadblocks that an athlete can face whether it be on or off the field. Sometimes that roadblock can be mental and greatly impact performance. Having the right mindset is critical in order to overcome challenges and give you that mental edge to assist in enhancing performance, increase motivation or confidence, build resiliency, or increase enjoyment in the sport. Mental and physical health go hand in hand when it comes to training, especially at the elite level.
